This #humanrightsday have your say on #rightsforlife and mental health

rightsforlifeidentityDecember 10 is Human Rights Day: the anniversary of the adoption of the universal declaration on human rights.

Nearly seven decades later, people with lived experience of mental health problems are still having to fight to have their human rights recognised.

This year, in Scotland, we have an opportunity to contribute to an exciting means of change. In June, there was the hugely successful #rightsforlife conference , where hundreds of people from across Scotland came together online and in person to talk about rights and mental health and came up with the idea of a Declaration and Agenda for Change.

Since then, a wide consultation process has led to the production of a draft document.

This is a real chance to have your say on the changes we need.

If you are over 16 and you live in Scotland, they want to hear from you. You have until Christmas Eve, 24 Dec to take part.

They want to know:

  1. What works?
  2. What doesn’t work?
  3. What needs to be added?
  4. What’s the one priority issue you would choose from each section?

You can learn more and complete the survey here.
