The joy of creating something beautiful: our art workshop with @glasgowlife

For our Community Correspondent get-together this month, we did something a bit different. We headed along to the Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art and took part in a lino printing workshop, with the lovely Angela of @glasgowlife.

When people meet us as a group, there are a few words that usually come up. We’re… a talkative bunch. It’s not just on the blog that we express our opinions and tell our stories. It can be hard to get a word in, which is great.

But while we were working away on our lino prints, you could have heard a pin drop. The conversation that did happen flowed naturally, but mostly we were all completely absorbed in the task.  We hardly noticed the time passing and there was a real sense of ease.

And we were all fair chuffed with the beautiful prints that we created. Have a look in the gallery,

That was a really relaxing way to spend an afternoon. Seeing the different patterns emerge and the use of bright colours made for a very interesting and enjoyable time.
    Thank you all x
