They say that when you’re walking around Glasgow, all you have to do is look up  and you’ll be amazed. Our city has some amazing architecture and some brilliant stories to tell. And next week you don’t even have to bother to look up. You can walk right in the front door- for free,

September 14-20 is Glasgow’s 15th Doors Open Day: a chance to take a peek inside some of the city’s most interesting spaces.  There are grand buildings like Pollok House, nostalgic trips like the former our Lady and St Francis High School and some more quirky offerings, including the Glasgow Crematorium.

There are also some fascinating walks and tours, which give a more human side to the story. You can learn about George Square’s statues, the best West End tenements or the women of the East End.

There’s so much happening- and it’s all free. Get your brochure now and plan how you’ll spend the week.
