Theatre Nemo has just published an impressive collection of comic book art from inmates of Barlinnie Prison dealing directly with their mental health and addiction experiences. ‘O’er The Wall’ is available free direct from Theatre Nemo.

The messages are honestly told and resonate like the best of underground comics. Keep checking the blog for a more detailed article on the various community projects Theatre Nemo is involved in.

To coincide with the start of The Coach House Trust’s new arts and horticulture programme this summer, Community Reporters intend to post video interviews with the organisers. We will examine the recent changes in the trusts services to accompany the videos in this blog.

Coothiescottish names are popular at the moment, it seems. ‘Oot ‘n Aboot’ is Maryhill rEstart Project’s new quarterly newsletter launched this month. It contains a vibrant range of articles written by clients with a continued mental health condition. We will look at the benefits to recovery get from participating in a range of newsletters from across Glasgow and possible relationships in the future with Mindwaves Community Reporters.

The Olympic Games torch relay was an exciting event that stimulated a lot of interest when it travelled through Glasgow on Friday 8th June. Find out soon what it meant to spectators and those runners nominated involved in community projects. Also we have photos and video of actor James MacAvoy’s rousing tribute to The City during his leg of the relay.

As The Self-directed Support (Scotland) Bill makes it way through Holyrood we will follow its progress along with Long Term Conditions Alliance (LT CAS) and monitor the continued conversation taking place about increased community involvement in health and support.
