Scene from Everyday Rebellion, which is part of the festival

Are you part of a community group that has members who enjoy films about big issues?

Our friend at Take One Action  have a limited number of free tickets for selected events at their film festival. There’s some great stuff on, with highlights including:

  • Everyday Rebellion in Glasgow on September 20: a film about non-violence and humour in bringing about big change
  • Giraffada in Glasgow on September 20 : a family-friendly story of a boy and a giraffe in the West Bank
  • Salt of the Earth in Glasgow on October 2: 60th anniversary screening of this previously banned film about US miners strike, which includes audience discussion

The free tickets are available to registered organisations who can evidence how they will distribute them exclusively to one of the following groups:

• young people not in full-time work or education
• unwaged, vulnerable or at risk beneficiaries;
• those with demonstrably limited access to independent cinema or the arts as a result of cultural or physical barriers;
• low-income members of community groups that are currently taking action relevant to specific events within our programme.
