Art and health exhibition at Tweedie Hall in Linwood

You might remember, back in May, we told you about “My Wellbeing, My Future”, a competition run by the Health and Social Care Academy to find the best examples of creativity around health.

Well, the winners were chosen back in August and their entries will make a significant contribution to the Scottish Government’s update to the 2020 Vision for healthcare. There were some really excellent entries and you can view the full list of winners and entrants at the Health and Social Care Academy website.   The video  above explains more about how the process worked, but if you’d like to get up close and personal with some of the artwork in the flesh, head along to the Tweedie Hall in Linwood.

They are hosting an exhibition that includes work from the winners of the Arts and Crafts category of the competition: Renfrewshire Disability Arts Forum and the Disability Resource Centre. The organisations worked together to support people with  long-term health conditions to express themselves through visual art, poetry and photography and the results are beautiful.

The exhibition is free and is open Monday-Saturday until November 30.
